Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2021: Registration, schedule, format, prize pool and more

The Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021 has been announced by Krafton as the first-ever big event for the newly introduced battle royale game, BGMI. The BGIS 2021 is expected to begin in early August and will last three months, with a prize fund of Rs. 1,00,00,000. Only Indian teams are eligible to compete in this important event, as it is the first open eSports tournament for BGMI players.

Crafton has unveiled the full details of the Battlegrounds Mobile India series on its Esports website, including the prize pool, its format, schedule and more. However, let us tell you that the registration for the tournament has not started yet, but its registration is going to start on today 19th July. Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2021 - Registration

KRAFTON start the registration for the Battleground Mobile India series from today 19th July 2021. Interested players can register for their squad by visiting the official website of BGIS 2021 after their registration portal opens.

It is worth noting that you must be at least 18 years old to participate in the tournament. Also, there is no registration fee to participate in BGIS 2021.

Although it hasn't been officially verified yet, players will be required to share basic information such as player names, BGMI character ID, IGL name, e-mail address, and so on in order to register for the event.

BGIS Registration and Tournament Shedule 

IN-Game Qualifiers (First- Stage)

Players who have registered for BGIS will have to play 15 matches with their registered team members over the given time period. The top 10 of 15 matches will be considered for evaluation and scored accordingly. In case of a tie, certain parameters such as finishes, survival time, accuracy, etc will be considered. Top 1024 teams will qualify for the next round.

Registered squads can start playing 15 games from 2nd August, 00: 00 :01 hours, and have to complete their game before 23:59:59 8th August. 

Note: Only the first 15 matches played with registered team members shall be deemed valid.

Online Qualifiers ( Second-Stage) 

• Format: There are three rounds to the Online-Qualifiers qualifiers (Round 1, 2 and, 3). Each round will play two matches, with multiple teams eliminated at the end of each round.

• Qualifying teams: 64 teams will advance to the Quarter-Finals.

• Duration: 17th August to 12th September

• Participating Teams: 1024

Quarter Finals (Third-Stage) 

• Format: These 64 teams will be divided into 4 groups. Each group will play a total of 6 matches. The top 4 teams from each group will qualify for the Semi-Finals. The remaining 12 teams will be relegated to the Losers Bracket and will get another chance to qualify.

• Qualifying teams: 16 teams will advance to Semi-Finals and 48 teams to Losers Bracket.

• Duration: 16th September to 26th September

• Participating Teams: 64

Losers Bracket

• Format: These 48 teams will be divided into 3 groups. Each group will play a total of 6 matches. The top 2 teams from each group and 2 teams with the maximum number of finishes will qualify for the Semi-Finals.

• Qualifying teams: 8 teams will advance to the Semi-Finals.

• Duration: TBA

• Participating Teams: 48

Semi-Finals: (Fourth-Stage)

• Format: These 24 teams will be divided into 3 groups. The groups will face off against each other in a Round-Robin format. Each group will play a total of 6 Round Robins.

• Qualifying teams: 16 teams will advance to Grand Finals

• Duration: 30th September to 3rd October

• Participating Teams: 24

Grand Finals: (Final-Stage)

• Format: A total of 20 matches will be played over a period of 4 days to determine the champion.

• Duration: 7th October to 10th October

• Participating Teams: 16
